... is a new little venture of mine which I'm so excited to finally share with you as it's been germinating in my head for a while now... So, what is it?... Simply put, it's my way of trying to convert a lot of sweet fabric into food which would help feed local children who aren't getting enough to eat on a daily basis. More specifically, I will donate all the proceeds from sales of my new Flower-ish fabric bundle, which is now listed in my Etsy shop and...
... which makes this patchwork which I've featured here, here, here, and here ,...
... to a local initiative, Backpack Buddies, which helps provide kids with food so that they can get through the week without going hungry. As a first target, I would love to raise $540 from bundle sales which would sponsor one child through an entire school year! As we're sadly seeing all over the place, more and more kids have been going hungry during our Covid crisis; I recently heard on the news of a teacher confronted by a crying child during a Zoom class, and when asked why she was crying, the little girl said she was hungry...
So, if you're itching to put together a simple patchwork, or even looking for a gift for someone you think might love doing just that, I invite you to take a peek at Flower-ish in my Etsy shop right here. And, If you so decide to donate by purchasing a bundle for yourself, please be sure to post a picture of your creation on Instagram, whether it be a patchwork or anything else, with the hashtag #stichandgive to inspire us all! Also, please stay tuned as Flower-ish is only the first bundle of many in my 'Stitch and Give' collection; in fact, as soon as I've finish penning this post, I'm happily running off to continue working on my next patchwork which will be full of vintage goodies, and which I hope to share with you very soon!... If you can think of anyone who would be interested in the bundles as well as my 'Stitch and Give' venture, I would so appreciate it if you could spread the word... Thanks so much for your visit and taking the time to read about 'Stitch and Give' which, fingers crossed, will spread a bit of much-needed joy through your kind help...
