...since my Scottish holiday was way back in October and I am going back to Scotland at the end of this week with one of my daughters to visit with my other daughter who's studying there (I'm so very excited!!...), I thought it was high time I showed you what goodies I brought home with me last time!... As you can see, I came home with a rainbow of lovely wool yarn from New Lanark Mills (which I posted more about here), Jamieson's of Shetland and J.C. Rennie & Co, some of which I've already used in projects (I'll show you in upcoming posts)...
...and some of which have the loveliest of labels, don't you think?!...
Of course, there is no way I could have a left Scotland without some wool cloth in my baggage... Luckily for me, my accommodations in Edinburgh where very close to Edinburgh Fabrics which stocks gorgeous Harris Tweed, and which I visited several times before I finally settled on this lovely sampling of 50 cm cuts of Harris Tweed...
And last but definitely not least, I spoiled myself with a lovely turquoise patterned Harley of Scotland cardigan which I found irresistible because it reminds me of the delightful knitted designs from one of my favourite movies, Nanny McPhee Returns... I hope you enjoyed this little peek at my Scottish treasures, and hopefully I'll manage to post some of my trip highlights (probably more woolly goodies!...) on Instagram while I'm still in Scotland... Thanks so much for popping by!...
Beautiful cardy - and I love your inspiration! And a dreamy collection of yarn colours... looking forward to seeing your woolly plans
