...I've been a very busy crocheting elf in the last few weeks leading up to Christmas, but I can't really tell you what I've been working on in case there should be some peeking by the intended recipients of my labour... So busy have I been that all my rose-hippy stuff, such as blogging and getting around to stocking my Etsy shop with cushions like the ones below, will have to wait until after Christmas...
Needless to say, I might have bitten off more than I can chew with my handmade Christmas gifting this year given all the other Christmas prep I still have to do, but I am determined to keep at my hook and yarn and finish what I have started,...
...so much so that I went to the lake by myself this week for two days, solely to concentrate on these Christmas gifts of mine... So, I sat on the couch in our living room and just hooked and hooked while listening to audio books, and I have to say it felt far from tedious...
...perhaps because my views towards our bay and mountains were absolutely glorious when I was there,...
...with a touch of an inversion making the clouds lie low over the lake...
...and making for such beautiful soft and warm light filtering into the room,...
...all very soothing and stress-busting, making me enjoy every stitch I made with heartwarming thoughts of Christmas gifting, while pushing my lengthy Christmas to-do list way to the back of my mind... I hope you have also managed to carve out some calming and pleasurable moments amidst all the frenzy that often comes with this time of the year -- thanks for popping by and I will definitely be back soon to show you what came of all this crocheting!...
How lovely! What a perfect little escape in the madness of Christmas preparations. Sounds just wonderful and recharging instead of draining and exhausting. Your project looks divine and whoever is the receiver will be a very lucky one. Happy holidays dear and thanks for sharing such beautiful views.
