...when Typepad makes me log in again and re-check the "remember me" option to access my blog, I know it's been a while since my last post... To be exact, a month on the dot today since I last wrote here and a great month it was, as a good chunk of it was spent with my family travelling through beautiful northern Italy; we landed in Geneva, made our way to a town close to Genoa where we visited with a good friend of ours for a few days, then walked through the Cinque Terre villages (photo above is of one of the stunning villages, Manarola), meandered through a bit of Tuscany (Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, and Montalcino), then cruised back up north to Milan, Venice, Verona, and Como, slipped back into Switzerland where we spent the last two days of our holiday in Zermatt... (If you're interested in seeing more pics from our trip, please take a look at my Instagram feed here.) What can I say?!... It was an amazing holiday and I have been utterly seduced by Italy, ready to go back in a flash to explore more of its beautiful regions...But being home now is fine too, because a lot of what I saw in Italy made my creative heart race so much so that I'm happy to be back with all my yummy fabric and yarn, ready to do my own bit of creating... Thanks for popping by and remembering that I'm still here; I should be back next week with talk of my new fabric bundles...
Come home, head filled with beautiful images and new experiences, ideal to get back to work, happy creation and thanks for that wonderful and inspiring photo! Italie is inspiring country!
