...I am again by a basket of yarn!... I do have quite a few things I should be working on now which, for the most part, I'm quite happy doing, but are just so much more involved than simply dipping into a basket of yummy yarn with hook in hand and crocheting a little square...
So why have such a basket of lovely-coloured yarn sitting by our comfy living room sofa, ready to tempt me at all times and pull me away from what I should really be doing?
Well, it has to do with trying to figure out what to do with my many baskets of cotton yarn which I used to trim pillowcases with, but which I've stopped using for that purpose since I decided to switch to linen yarn, as well as simply wanting to crochet something relatively quick and easy (such as little squares!), while sitting on my comfy sofa when watching TV in the evenings or listening to digital audio books I take out of the library (a new favourite thing!)...
As you may be able to see, my two piles of squares, which will eventually become a blanket, are not small (over 40 squares in total already!) and are growing rather steadily because I keep being drawn to "my basket of endless possibilities": every time I contemplate the next square I'll make, it's as if I'm walking into my own little candy shop where I can choose from so many delicious colour combinations and sweet motifs! Do you remember the thrill of being handed a new box of lovely coloured pencils as a child? Well, it's e-x-a-c-t-l-y like that...
While these crocheted squares will definitely be back in my future posts, my patchwork and fabric bundles as well as some new pillowcases should be the focus of my upcoming posts if all goes according to plan, and,... if I can tear myself away from that very distracting basket! Thanks for popping by and 'wishing you the best of weekends as well as a lovely Mother's Day on Sunday!...
Oh yes, very temping. I always have a basket of goodies by my favorite chair. I look forward to seeing the finished blanket.Have a happy one!

Oh, I would be tempted by these delicious colours too! I have a few sewing makes that I really need to complete (hmmm, or actually start) and a garden severely in need of my attention, but I am distracted by wool too. Oh dear
