...I edged some ditsy floral pillowcases recently with linen yarn and I went out of my comfort zone a bit as far as my choice of color for all four yarns; I could have opted for slightly mellower choices that would harmonize more with the pillowcase fabrics (especially in the case of the two pillowcases in the the middle), but decided instead to go for a bit more zing...
I think when I first starting crocheting trims on pillowcases, I might have been a bit more daring with some of my yarn and fabric pairings, so I thought I would push back the clock a bit and try to uncover my old "daring" self... After all, it's been over 6 years since I first started to make pillowcases! I also took these photos in glaring sunlight so the fabric, especially in the zoomed-in photos, seems a bit overexposed and faded; I am liking this effect though as it makes me think of summer...
You haven't seen the last of these pillowcases as I think I will try them out with a patchwork coverlet and crocheted cushions I just finished; I should have all that for you in my next post... Thanks for popping by and thanks for all your lovely comments!...
All the more lovelier for the daring!

Is there a book and/or instructions that one can access/purchase? I do like your pillow cases.

Sometimes "blending" in can be boring.
