...as promised, way back here! I finally got around to taking some photos of this new pillowcase which, just like this one, is made with stunning quilting weight cotton fabric from Liberty's Bloomsbury collection and trimmed with yummy 100% linen yarn; close up, this pairing of fabric and yarn looks like this...
(If you're interested in reading more about my Liberty and Linen pillowcases, I invite you to go back to this post where I describe both fabric and yarn in greater detail, as well as why I think they work nicely together.) I've had this pillowcase all made up for a while now waiting to be photographed, and I finally tore myself away from the sunny outdoors at the lake to do just that, using as setting one of our upstairs bedroom. As you can see in my first photo above, I put it on the same vintage bed I showed you in my last post but, this time, I covered it with a crocheted afghan in a striped design (a thrift shop find and not something I made...) and hung a cheery poppy painting (yes, another thrifted treasure!) instead of the rosy needlepoint from my last post; I took the photo in a way so you could also see one of my absolute favourite lamps, a retro-looking lamp with a glass shade in, yes, a very yummy shade of aqua! Now, one pillow on a bed is nice, but three could be that much more fun...
While I did spend some of last week photographing pillowcases and editing the resulting photos, I actually spent quite a lot of it working on my veggie and berry garden; as you can see below, the big mound of soil I showed you in my last post has all but disappeared (luckily for me, my dearest husband helped me with that, otherwise I'm sure I would still have a mound there!)...
...and made its way into my walled future garden. While I'm pretty much finished building my stone wall on the side you see below, I still have to throw a few rocks on the opposite side and plant a few shrubs there to stabilize the slope. I'm not sure that we will have time to build the deer fence this summer, so I think I just might sprinkle the soil for now with flower seeds or some cover crop seeds which will act as a green manure. However, we are so pleased with the look of the stone wall on our property, that I have started building another one by our driveway; given that we have found some great rock stashes nearby, I think I just might be doing a fair bit of stone-wall-building at the lake in the near future!
I thought my stone wall might work nicely as a backdrop in a photo of my pillowcases so, as you can see below, I stacked up a few and took some photos... In case you're wondering, I have just listed my new Liberty and Linen pillowcase (top of the stack) in my Etsy shop under the name "Sunkissed" as it makes me think of high summer when everything is so wonderfully sun-kissed! I will also be listing all the others in the pile in the next little while, one after the other, probably starting with the bottom one, the lovely turquoise one with pretty rosy posies.
Thanks so much for popping by and, if you're on this side of the equator, I do so hope you are also enjoying a sun-kissed summer!...
What a lovely combination, your soft work and your hard work together. Both are wonderful! You have been busy, that's A LOT of rock moving! How lucky to have a free supply nearby. (Not cheap at all if you have to buy them.lol)

I am a fan of your work, but now you are a stone wall builder also! Just throwing a few rocks around here and there :) lol
