...in all of its 63-square flourish, is what I have to show you today... I finally got around to taking photos of this top and the other one I made when we were at the lake last week; I took advantage of the large deck we have over there, which is a great surface for laying out patchworks, as well as a very bright and blissful spring day! As soon as I have a chance to look through the photos of the other top (as usual I took much too many photos!) which should be in the next two days or so, I will share them with you as well.
As you can see, I mixed it up a lot in this patchwork, dipping into my vintage sheeting reserves as well as cutting straight off bolts of much newer prints...
Whether you look at the whole patchwork as in the shot above...
...or at just a part of it, the effect is cheery, isn't it?! What do you think -- is it spring-like or more summery?
So, in a couple of days or so, I will be back with the second top and then, soon after, I have a bit of a fun post coming up for you... I would like to thank you so much for all your lovely comments, especially the recent ones wishing me a happy spring break (it was very happy, thank you!) and, of course, thank you for taking the time to pop by! I hope you will be back soon to have a peek at my second patchwork...
Lovely colours.

It's so lovely. Like someone else mentioned it is both spring and summer but if I was pushed to say just one it would have to be spring. I love the colours! I have a thing about yellow at the moment so I gravitate to anything with yellow in it :-) so I'll just have to go back up to have another gazey feast of it....
