...each one a different print, is the total amount of squares I sewed together to make each of the two patchwork tops I just finished up; each square has a finished size of 8 inches and, with a side of 7 squares and one of 9 squares, the tops have a finished dimension of 56 inches x 72 inches, a perfect size for a cozy coverlet...
As of yet, I don't have have any photos of the entire tops to show you because I'm waiting for the right moment to take these outdoors, but I thought I would share with you a few closeup shots of each top which I took indoors. The first six photos in this post are of the patchwork top which has definite yummy red and aqua-blue accents...
As you can see, there is a good mix of new and vintage fabric in this patchwork...
...and it is all very happy-looking with good shots of sunny yellow...
...and the best in retro flower designs which can always be found in vintage sheeting!
Now, for the other patchwork top...
...no more aqua blue, barely any red, but instead, lovely shades of green, orange and peach...
...and, of course, those cheery pops of yellow! Just like the other patchwork, I've mixed fabric fresh off new bolts with favourites from my vintage stash...
...as well as ditsy florals with bold "flower power" designs which all combine together to give a look which definitely puts a huge smile on my face!
I hope you've enjoyed this quick little glimpse of my two new patchwork tops... As I said earlier, I will be back with photos of the entire tops, hopefully later on next week, as I'm off on a little spring break skiing holiday with my family for the next few days. Thank you so much for all your get well wishes (I'm doing much better!) and, of course, for popping by!...
