...in the basement, tunnelling through mounds of stuff, revisiting some past work as you can see from the photos... I thought I would resurface for a moment, say hi and wish all you Canadians out there a happy July 1st weekend... Go Canada, go, eh? I know I'm jumping the gun a bit since it's only Wednesday, but I'm off tomorrow to the cottage for the next few days, taking a much-needed break from my basement and crossing my fingers for some summer weather so, you know, we could start doing those summer things -- our month of June here has been one of the wettest and coldest on record! 'Hope to be back at some point after the weekend with some photos of the cottage as it looks now -- our kitchen there is supposed to be finished this week... 'Can't wait to see it!...
Good luck with that kitchen!

I have a bit of a question for you...I am working on doing the Kaffe Fusion blanket (without the Kaffe fabric sadly) but, I am working on the stitches around the block that I will crochet on and maybe I am over thinking this, but I can't figure out how far apart to make them so that all my stitches fit. Is there a trick to this? Also not sure how to do the buttonhole stitch when I come to a corner? And...what kind or size of needle are you using for that thread?
Just a few questions, but your things are so beautifully done I thought I would as the pro!
