...as promised, a short but very sweet post showing you my holiday loot -- first up of course is the fabric: a bit from Liberty, Cath Kidston and the Amsterdam fabric market... Can you guess which ones are which? This is definitely a pile that I can stare at for long stretches of time and dream about all the possibilities! On the bottom, you can also just make out the Cath Kidston cozy I dragged all the way from London to Brussels and then to Amsterdam -- well worth every minute of dragging, especially since it was on sale!
And lastly, something very different: a pair of Mary Jane inga from Sweden clogs which I found, not in Amsterdam, but on Portobello Road in London. You have to understand that I am a clog person (the only type of shoe I ever wear), so when I saw these I knew I couldn't leave London without them!
I still would like to show you some inspiring photos I found in the magazines I brought home with me -- I'll save that for my next post! Also, just in case you are wondering (and I know some of you are because of the emails I receive), I am in full crochet-edged pillowcase production at the moment -- I will be listing some oldies in the next little while as well as a whole batch of new ones... I'll keep you posted...
oooooooooooooooooooo yummy everything, love all the pinky/blueness and especially your new clogs! Can I come for tea and see everything in person?

I can't believe you were in Amsterdam and I didn't know! ;-) And what a lovely bunch you have put together. It's been too long since I visited the monday fabric market, it's about time.
p.s. I think the bottom 3 are Amsterdam fabrics...

Fabulous fabrics. Loving them. I am currently in a fabric indulging phase, surfing and drooling over all the beuties out there in internet world and can't make up my mind on which one to buy. I want them all! And those clogs! How cute.

I'm glad you had so much fun with the loot! I was astounded at the fabulous trims when I moved to Amsterdam! So much wider selection than in Canada. It looks like you got some of my favourite one ... the little red riding hood trim! Did you make it to the notions shop Jan De grote Kleinvakman in the Albert Cuyp Market? They have a huge selection of really fabulous stuff. If not, next time!!
