...as some of you may know, I live in Vancouver which is a pretty exciting place to be right about now! Olympic fever has hit the city in a big way and I have to confess that I am one of its many victims... We have been hitting the downtown streets every day since the start of the Olympics, soaking in the city's party atmosphere (downtown was all aglow last night, celebrating the first Canadian gold medal on Canadian soil... very cool!)
Needless to say, my pillowcases have been pushed aside a little and I haven't taken too many photos of them yet as I had promised in my last post. Today, between watching the men's downhill and snowboard cross, I finally threw a bunch of the new ones I made in a basket and took a few snaps. Tomorrow, I'm off with my children to watch our first event at these Olympics: men's figure skating... can't wait! As soon as I manage to tear myself away from the Olympics, I will take more photos to show you and stock my Etsy shop... (I have to admit that I'm not exactly sure when that will be since the men's and women's hockey competition is just about to heat up!)
Oh, how wonderful that you get to see the men's ice skating! Hope you take some photos to post. I have been watching the Olympics and was so happy to see Canada win a gold medal! I watched the pairs skating tonight - I always hope that everyone skates well after all the hard work and years of practice. Your fabric for your pillow cases is just beautiful and I love the crochet trimmings. I love the colors.

How exciting to be in Vancouver during the Winter Olympics and being able to actually BE at some of these events!
We have very fond memories of Vancouver, even though our visit was very short, 3 days. We keep reminiscing whilst watching the Olympics, lol.
And your pillowcases are of course as gorgeous as ever.

Glad to hear you're enjoying all of the Olympic fever. Please cheer extra loud for those of us that can't be heard over in our own corners of the country.

Your pillowcases are amazing! I am looking at changes colour schemes if - when - we finally move out of the flat and I am definitely inspired by what your've done! And very jealous of you watching the Olympic Games, it is not the same to watch on TV or over the internet... At least we have the summer ones in London next time!

The evolution of the Olympic Movement during the 20th century forced the IOC to adapt the Games to the world's changing social circumstances. Some of these adjustments included the creation of the Winter Games for ice and snow sports, the Paralympic Games for athletes with physical disabilities, and the Youth Olympic Games for teenage athletes. The IOC also had to accommodate the Games to the varying economical, political, and technological realities of the 20th century. As a result, the Olympics shifted away from pure amateurism, as envisioned by Coubertin, to allow participation of professional athletes. The growing importance of the mass media created the issue of corporate sponsorship and commercialization of the Games.

We firmly believe that the Olympic spirit is the essence of human civilization and the Olympic flame is the symbol of peace and friendship

I like the subtle wind. In spring, it steals a kiss on my cheek; in autumn, it caresses my face; in summer, it brings in cool sweet smell; in winter, it carries a crisp chilliness...

I think the issue is a little meaning, no matter how end? I agree to write the male character, view; and I think a lot of people can't accept the results. Switch all things difficult! Continue to come on!
