I finally finished sewing up a pile -- unfortunately, not this pile, and yes, I know...the daffodil season has long past! -- but a pile of flag banners in all sorts of colorful fabrics. I must confess that I lo-o-o-o-ve the look of piles of sewn fabrics, no matter what they are sewn up as -- something so satisfying about lines of stitching and a jumble of prints all stacked up...

I've been making and selling flag banners for over four years now, but every time I hang one up, I'm always so delighted by how, with sheer simplicity, they brighten and dress up a corner of a room or an outdoor nook. Here's a sampling of some of the ones I've put together this time 'round -

Now, for the "package" bit: I was lucky enough to snap up something very special, handmade by my dear Vancouver blogger friend, Lilli, from her new Etsy shop; I received it earlier this week --

And, as Lilli mentioned herself, what appropriate wall decor for a house where 4 little girls live! (Yes,...I have 4 daughters aged 5 to 11...)
Before I run off to work on another "pile", I just wanted to say how grateful I am to all of you who commented on my last post; you were so very generous in your praise!...all so very motivating and encouraging and a definite re-read on those days when I feel like a hippo has sat on me and I can't seem to move forwards -- you know what I mean, right?...
