Hello again! I feel like it's been a while...I have been struggling with a nasty virus that has given me nagging chest congestion, lots of horrid coughing spells and low, oh! so low energy...And all this after bragging to my doctor about how healthy I've been so far this winter -- ugh! -- next time, bite my tongue... Michelle's amazing self-portrait struck such a chord; a similar face stared back at me in the mirror every morning during these last few weeks...luckily though, unlike hers, my children were not sick!
With my energy on the rise, I made my way today to Molly's shop with some of my wares and took a few pictures. Unfortunately, the day was grey so all my photos are a bit off...nevertheless, here is one of them:

I finally finished some of the work shown in this post! I had a great time making the cushions, especially the flowers -- they were made out of felted wool sweaters. I've been dying to try this out and I'm quite pleased with the way they turned out -- their fleshiness and their overall look reminds me of magnolias! As someone who comes from Montreal where winters are way too harsh for magnolia trees, I'm so smitten by the sight of enormous magnolia blossoms hanging onto -- it seems just barely -- leafless branches!
By the way, isn't the bed magnificent -- Molly gave this old bed such a beautiful finish! (Unfortunately, my photo doesn't do it justice...) As soon as the sun shows its face again, I'll take some more shots of all this sunny magnolia bedding and show you more details...
Just in passing: thank you to all of you who kept checking up on my blog despite my silence -- I'm really touched...
