...at least for the next little while...I like all things "pirate" and so does my daughter who
turned 7 on Sunday - yup, you guessed it, we had a pirate-themed birthday party for her. So, inspired by little birds pirate birthday party post and her link to this pirate cake , I came up with my own version of it - (as you may be able to tell from the photo, icing cakes is not one of my stronger suits...) 
As decoration, I made something I've been itching to make for quite a while now: a pirate flag banner - 
Now that was fun to make! Tomorrow, 'promise: a Christmas post ...(I just had to squeeze this one in!)
