Do you see the print in the center of the photo to the left? - it's an Alexander Henry fabric called the petting zoo and one of the few children's prints I really like. Just like the one depicting playground scenes which I used in an earlier blanket, it's a reprint of vintage wrapping paper. So, along with some colorful balloons,
bright polka dots and great vintage geometrics, this print was the inspiration for this little quilted blanket which I think works both for baby boys
as well as baby girls.... On a different note, I thought I would update you on our weather: it's snowing as I'm writing this...YIPPEE!! However, we are hovering around the freezing mark so tomorrow we might wake up to a winter wonderland or a soggy mess! Knowing full well that our snowy adventure is nearing its end - tomorrow the mercury is suppose to climb well above freezing - the children got the O.K. tonight on skipping their homework to go sledding across the street at the park. (By the way, I don't remember getting homework in grade school - do you?!)
I love the way you combine prints. You have an exciting way of putting different elements together so that your finished pieces look fresh.
Yes, I do believe we must bid goodbye to the snow :(

Thanks Amy for your lovely comment on my blankets - I really do love making them! Unfortunately, our streets have lost their lovely white coats and are back to their soggy old selves...
