On occasion, I experience real fear in a thrift store when I spot something incredible at a distance and I can't believe:
a. that no one else has bought it,
and
b. that a long arm will not snatch it away just before I get to it...
I had one of these moments when I spotted this old hand sewn quilt -
The amount of handwork in this quilt is unbelievable... feedsacks, synthetics, percale sheeting all nestled in cotton muslin - a veritable history of mid-20th century fabrics -
What I would do for yardage of the pink giraffe fabric!
Ahhhh, the giraffes, sigh...

Oh My GOODNESS! =^..^=
What a GoRgEoUs score!
This vintage quilt is ART!
Lookie at the fabrics .::swoon::.
I am soooo glad it went to you ...
The person that spent all those hours
would be thrilled to know how appreciated it is.
Of this I am sure.
=^..^= love, zU

Ok, this is a very old post, and it is rude to ask, but what did it cost in the thrift? I am always amazed at some of the things I find lying around in there!
