On Saturday, I had a stall at our local Farmers' Market which is held every Saturday from May to October at Trout Lake in Vancouver. It was the perfect day for an outdoor market - the sky was blue, the air was crisp and the organic fall harvest, plentiful!
Even if at times sales may not be as great as hoped for, I still usually enjoy being a vendor at these markets because I inevitably always end up meeting up with interesting people; this Saturday, I met Emira who has a charming blog called domicile where she muses about being a homeowner in Vancouver - renos, gardening, cooking, sewing and crafting are all on her list of topics. I knew I had found a kindred spirit when she completely blew me away by recognizing Amy Butler fabric (from her first collection Gypsy Caravan) in my ruffle dress designs! She then floored me again by knowing all the blogs I read on a daily basis - Print & Pattern, Posie Gets Cozy, Wee Wonderfuls - I should mention that, in my little world, when I start babbling about crafty blogs and Amy Butler I usually draw blank stares...
Since the photos taken at the market didn't all turn out as expected, I've decided to post photos I took at home of some of the items I was selling at the market. (Please pardon the weird photo layout - I'm still trying to figure typepad out...)
